One of the most important and special thing about her is that she is the topmost second women (First is M.S. Subbulakshmi) in non classical music category who achieved civilian award “Bharat Ratna”. Biography of lata Mangeshkar
On September 28, 1929 Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India got a immense soul of music, Lata mangeshkar. Her father Dinanath Mangeshkar is himself a well-known singer of classical music. Her sister Asha bhosle is also a renowned singer in Music industry. At very young age she introduced with Music industry with her tremendous talent. Life history of Lata mangeshkar is truly impressive.
In very young age of her she lost her father thus she got all the responsibilities of family. To bring financial stability and take care of her family members she acted in 8 movies from 1942 to 1948. In her startup of career she has to face struggle. In 1942 she debuted with her first song in Marathi film but unfortunately edited out. Then in 1947 she recorded her first Hindi film song “Aap ki seva me” but did not get so notice.
In 1948, Lata mangeshkar got rejected owing to her thin voice, while she was auditioning for the Movie shaheed. At that time Ghulam haider recognized the potential of her and gave her chance to sing in Majboor.
Finally her song “Dil mera toda” got notice and proved as a breakthrough for her to tout. In 1949 she gave four major hits to Music industry from films Barsaat, Andaaz, Mahal,Dulari. From the movie Mahal “aanewala” became immense popular and that was the point she was recognized and got a secure firm place in Industry.
Lata mangeshkar has sung with many talented popular singers like Mohammad Rafi, kishore Kumar and Mukesh etc. she was a great determined and one of the powerful women in the industry. Lata mangeshkar was healed with immense power. She understood and felt the need and of each song very closely and sung with her beautiful rhythmic voice flawlessly. Lata Mangeshkar got a nickname “nightingale of Bollywood”.
