Why corruption in India
People think climate of corruption has spread all around and administrative task couldn’t complete without bribe so get motivation to engage in corruption. However, bribe is the beginning of corruption and rapidly sucking our country horribly. The more bad governance is the hard root cause of corruption.
Self-interest motivation in corruption
In our daily routine life for selfness we give and take bribe. To get promotion, to get appoint in government sector, to pay low tax, to get done task quickly we offer bribe, to be refrain from fine or penalty. These are just few reasons, given here; people offer bribe for their personal use. Plenty of selfishness reasons are still remaining to affect Indian economy badly and brings instability and poverty in country. To live a high standard without making any effort people find bribe an easiest way and seek it.
Bad governance
Just above we considered the causes people to offer or seek bribe. It apparently affects our morality, principles of life and teaches us the difference between good or bad people very well. But more often dysfunctional system of government, political corruption, poor law system and bad incentives are cause of engaging people in corruption.
- Clear opportunity of corruption like a packet of money is sitting in a parking lot. This type of opportunity is like no competitor for mining company, running by government, and number of license and fees require for shipping goods in or out of the country.
- Bad incentive is merciful reason of corruption. If a person does not get enough pay to live or not sure about having food to him or his family for tomorrow or not sure about his job are some quite true reason that drag him to involve in corruption.
- Another reason of corruption is lake of transparency and black money. Most of the government officers do not declare what they are doing and these power holders violate their public duties but our law system does not impose sanctions on them if they do so then using power culprit get free easily. Ministers of India who are in power apparently misuse public property and disregard the law.
So corruption not only depends on your ethics but also bad governance and unmanaged system is also cause of the corruption.
